RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City, US.
Under the command of Edward Smith, the ship's passengers included some of the wealthiest people in the world, as well as hundreds of emigrants from Great Britain and Ireland, Scandinavia and elsewhere.
Some of the most prominent people of the day booked a passage aboard Titanic, travelling in First Class. Among them were the American millionaire John Jacob Astor IV, industrialist Benjamin Guggenheim, Macy's owner Isidor Straus, Denver millionairess Margaret "Molly" Brown. Titanic's owner J. P. Morgan was scheduled to travel on the maiden voyage, but cancelled at the last minute. Also aboard the ship were the White Star Line's managing director J. Bruce Ismay and Titanic's designer Thomas Andrews.
Each timepiece has a hand-placed and mounted authentic and certified piece of the wreck-wood and recovered coal from the Titanic.
Red and blue fluorescence and white phosphors that glow blue create a glowing effect each time the UV-L.E.D. technology is activated. Vaucanson timepieces have three distinctly different appearances; one in daylight, another under UV-LED illumination, and a third in the afterglow once the UV-LED deactivates.
The result of this collaboration is an innovative and patented illumination system which makes this timepiece a true fusion of technology and aesthetics. A perfect balance has been struck between advanced technologies and sophisticated, beautifully executed timepiece dials.
Each timepiece comes with a customized raised 3D red White Star Line flag with a white star and RMS TITANIC script with two red loops, on a black silicone strap that has quick-release pins and a beautiful yellow gold tone tang buckle.
Eighteen layers of proprietary aerospace UV blocking technology
Yellow gold caseback with recessed cross-hatching and a raised V logo, bottom half is for customized engraving.
Vaucanson timepieces are proudly assembled in the United States of America.
Now you can wear an actual piece of the recovered coal and wreck-wood from the actual RMS TITANIC on your wrist.
